Whether you like it or not, No-Code Tools have come to stay. Many have been too forward to criticise it as a lazy-programming scheme, but you know what? The "Benjamins" tell a different story. No-Code developers are making quick bucks from it, likewise No-Code companies are getting their share of the loot; 'franklin-g speaking'.
In today's business environment, many small and medium-size business need and want an online presence, specifically low-budget. They also amongst other things need a simple, aesthetically pleasing website they can at least make changes on it with no or minimal help from the website designer.
This is where CARRD comes in.
CARRD is designed to be a 1-page No-code website builder that facilitates the development of websites in an easy and user friendly manner at a reasonable or rather cheap price compared to other No-Code tools. Check out a simple healthcare centre website I designed (ogooluwamaternity.carrd.co)
And when we say 1-page, we are in fact saying one paged website but not limited to internal links or tabs. For instance, in this portfolio website (olalekan.carrd.co) I designed there are tabs/buttons for Home, Work, Projects, and Contact.
For a professional here is the juicy part, you need to know that CARRD allows you to build up to 10 websites on a Pro Standard plan of $19/year, that gives you access to premium templates, custom domain URLs and a new offer called "Site Transfer". With Site transfer you can set up a CARRD account with your email, build like 10 sites for 10 different clients, and easily transfer the entire site to the client for them to maintain on their own, it is more like a reseller business, you buy in bulk for cheap, then charge maybe $1000 for each site, that is $10,000 for the 10 websites.. How sweet does that sound. Check their pricing plan for more info - carrd.co/pro
Perhaps you are not moved nor convinced by the current business needs earlier mentioned, here is another scenario - Startups and Startup Ideas. Many a times we all have this startup idea in our head, while we gain more clarity by writing it on paper or a note pad, there will be a time that to share the idea only by word of month will become tiring, so setting up a simple website to further explain and explore the idea at no cost without having to worry about coding from scratch or hosting, will come in handy.
A month ago, when I heard on the news about how Ukrainians have been creative with the use of drones to drop bombs on enemy forces and by coincidence while I was thinking of medical drone ambulances, these same drones have been use to deliver emergency medical supplies like tourniquets, bandages; all 3D printed - that is the ugly beauty about wars, new innovations and inventions always springs up, we will get to that later.
Now I could not help but think of many people located in remote or rural areas like the indigenous people of Canada or back home in Africa, or the many remote islands in Asia, who have no access to quality medical supplies. In these areas, the health centres are always not fortified with the needed medical supplies, what if we have drones delivering these medical supplies, have it at the back of your mind that going by road is not an option, you will be surprised at many communities not just in Africa or Asia but also in North America specifically Canada that the only point of entry is through a ferry, which can be costly and likely not operate every day, it is not as if they expect tourists coming over everyday.
This why I built REZQ Health ( as in "Rescue Health" ) on CARRD - rezq.carrd.co
While the idea is still in its infancy, I can't help but also add that somehow these drones be fitted with sensors that can read health signals in addition to the camera and a telecommunication channel (Speaker and MIcrophone). This is nothing futuristic, before you dismiss it as impossible, quality cameras, mics, speakers have been invented already, we are only merging the elements together to create a telehealth channel for health providers thousands of miles away to monitor the health status of the said patients they are delivering the medical supplies to. We shouldn't need another pandemic or war to remind us that ideas such as this can go a long way in saving many lives.
In a nutshell, whether you need a simple business website or portfolio website at no or low cost, I will highly recommend CARRD. Check it out now at carrd.co
Here are screenshots of the Dashboard, Themes and Pages, it is built profoundly to be easy to use. Play around it and you won't regret you did.
